James Island Outreach | Charleston, SC

James Island Outreach was created in response to the destruction left after Hurricane Hugo hit Charleston in 1989. Over the years, James Island Outreach has expanded from primarily home repairs to providing and coordinating a variety of human services for the James Island community. James Island Outreach is a non-profit, tax-exempt agency. It’s supported through donations of time, food, and funds by area churches, businesses, and individuals.

James Island Outreach recently moved to a new location and needed a circuit ran into an open space above the covered porch to feed two ceiling fans. Transworld Electric’s electricians volunteered their time and resources to install the two ceiling fan boxes evenly spaced for the facility.

“We greatly appreciate the work Transworld Electric has done for us at James Island Outreach. Being able to have ceiling fans on our porch will make it more enjoyable as we often distribute our fresh produce on the deck in the Spring and Fall season. The work went as planned and was a seamless installation. Thank you Transworld Electric!”
