Transworld Inc. is committed to delivering an unparalleled degree of professionalism, service, and satisfaction to all our clients. This can be exemplified through our projects. Last year, Transworld was honored to have an article written in The Circuit magazine about a recent project we had sold. Tony Lee, the Chief Engineer, at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel was concerned about their high energy bills. He wanted to reduce their utility expense and maintenance cost. Transworld was able to successful find a solution for Tony Lee by upgrading their parking garage lighting to LED. This upgrade was able to reduce the lighting portion of their utility bill by nearly 74%. LEDs have an extremely long life and would in turn decrease their maintenance cost. The project only took two weeks to complete with a cost of $41,825 (installed) and rebates totaling $5,800. The Sheraton Hotel will see a payback in 1.5 years with an estimate annual savings of $27,000. Tony Lee said the choice to switch was a “no-brainer”. He said the Sheraton is always looking for new ways to go green and stay ahead of the curve when it comes to recycling, reusing or repurposing. The new LED lights their using have more consistent lights and its cleaner light. The Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center benefited with better safety, savings, and a better product. Tony Lee said he was completely satisfied with the upgrade and their talking about making their guest rooms more efficient as their next project.
