A Global Generosity Movement – December 3, 2019

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that promotes and encourages people and organizations to do good to transform their community and the world.

Every year Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the popular Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping days. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 with the simple mission to encourage people to do good. Over the years hundreds of millions of people have been inspired to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity in their community.

There are countless ways to join in Giving Tuesday and your local community is a great start. You can visit www.givingtuesday.org to find organizations, charities, events and more in your local community.

Transworld Electric participated in Giving Tuesday by hosting a food drive for the local nonprofit organization, James Island Outreach. James Island Outreach was created in response to the destruction left after Hurricane Hugo hit Charleston in 1989. James Island Outreach is a non-profit, tax-exempt agency. It’s supported through donations of time, food, and funds by area churches, businesses, and individuals.
